## About the Role

* Experience: 7+ years as an ISSE on projects of similar scope and complexity.
 * Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related discipline (or 4 additional years of ISSE experience as a substitute).
 * Certification: DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level 2.

ISSE 2

 * Experience: 14+ years as an ISSE on similar programs.
 * Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field.
 * Certification:
 + DoD 8570.01-M compliance with IASAE Level 2.
 + CISSP Certification required.

ISSE 3

 * Experience: 20+ years as an ISSE on similar programs (Master's degree may substitute for 2 years).
 * Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related discipline (or 4 additional years of ISSE experience as a substitute).
 * Certification:
 + DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level 3.
 + Both CISSP and ISSEP Certifications required.

A security background check is required, and if you have already completed a background check/clearance, then that is a plus!

## Description

As an Information Systems Security Engineer, you will:

 * Assess security risks and ensure compliance with IA standards.
 * Design, develop, and integrate secure IT systems, networks, and architectures.
 * Collaborate with system architects and developers to implement security policies.
 * Support risk management, accreditation, and certification processes.
 * Identify and mitigate security threats throughout the project lifecycle.

What You'll Do

 * Serve as a security engineering expert on various project teams.
 * Design and implement IA systems, networks, and architectures.
 * Enforce trusted relationships among external systems.
 * Conduct security planning, assessment, and risk management activities.
 * Ensure proper handling of government data and adherence to IA policies.
