This is an individual-contributor technical leadership role (no direct reports) that partners closely with the Infrastructure & Platform Operations Lead and functional engineering teams to help set the technical direction for the program's AWS environment. The ideal candidate has led enterprise-scale AWS migrations, holds current AWS architecture certification, and can translate agency modernization priorities into a well-architected, secure, and cost-efficient cloud environment. This position is Hybrid - on-site as required to support client meetings (~1-2 days/week)., * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field from an accredited college or university * Minimum of 10 years of IT infrastructure experience, including 5+ years focused on AWS architecture and engineering at enterprise scale. * Demonstrated experience leading enterprise cloud migrations, including data center exit or legacy modernization initiatives. * Deep, hands-on expertise across core AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudFormation/Terraform) with AWS GovCloud experience strongly preferred. * Strong understanding of AWS Well-Architected Framework principles and experience leading formal architecture reviews. * Working knowledge of FinOps practices and cloud cost optimization techniques. * Experience designing security architecture aligned to Zero Trust principles and federal frameworks (NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP).
