## About the Role

* Bachelors or MS or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, RF Engineering or related field
 * 3-5 years of hands-on silicon development experience

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

 * Proven ability to design and support the production release of silicon MMIC products
 * Experience with common high frequency packaging techniques
 * Competency in the Cadence Virtuoso development environment
 * Experience with 3D electromagnetics simulation tools including: Momentum, EMX, HFSS

## Description

* Design new state-of-the-art silicon microwave monolithic integrated circuit (MMIC) circuits
 * Layout new MMICs, perform design rule checks, and perform layout vs. schematic checks
 * Interact with foundries to validate PDK models and tapeout new wafers
 * Ability and willingness to characterize products hands on in the lab when required to meet project schedule
 * Assist with generation of preliminary datasheets
 * Support applications engineering, technical sales, and product line management when required
 * Support of products through the entire product development and production release cycle
 * Definition of product specifications and development of test plans
 * Prepare for design review meetings
