The successful candidate will be responsible for leveraging advanced statistical modeling to support reliability improvement initiatives. This includes but is not limited to predicting equipment failure impacts, weather impacts and predicting future reliability based on asset health, system maintenance and capital investment. The candidate will have strong communication and consultation skills to understand business needs across the organization. Ability to translate data into meaningful business models and leverage predicative analytics to support reliability initiatives., * Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field with minimum 4 years of relevant work experience. * Demonstrated proficiency in processing, manipulating, and generating insight from large data sets of structured and unstructured data. * Experience in the implementation of complex programs and projects. * Knowledge of statistical methods, predictive modeling techniques, and data mining algorithms is highly valuable. * Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL. * Knowledge of FE systems: iTOA, OPPM, GIS, Cascade, EMS, SAP, and PI are preferred. * Ability to develop effective working relationships with employees at all levels of FirstEnergy to aid and resolve problems. * Excellent interpersonal skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, and strong analytical ability are required.
