## About the Role

* Microsoft Fabric Expertise: Deep, hands-on architectural experience with the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem (OneLake, Lakehouses, Warehouses, Data Factory, and Real Time Intelligence).
 * Enterprise Architecture: Proven track record of delivering end-to-end data blueprints, technical discovery documents, and cloud migration strategies.
 * Data Modelling: Mastery of Medallion architecture design, Delta Parquet formatting, Star Schema, and Kimball data warehousing methodologies.
 * Industry Context: Prior experience working within Financial Services, Asset Finance, or Banking is highly advantageous (understanding regulatory compliance, financial data structures, and auditing).
 * Technical Stack: Strong experience with Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, SQL Server, PySpark, and advanced Power BI deployment.

## Description

* Data Discovery: Conduct a comprehensive audit of existing Legacy financial platforms, operational databases, and third-party data streams.
 * Blueprint & Strategy: Define the target state data architecture blueprint, governance models, and migration roadmap tailored for Microsoft Fabric.
 * Medallion Architecture Design: Build a scalable Data Lakehouse strategy utilizing Delta Lake and the Medallion architecture paradigm (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).
 * System Migration: Architect and oversee the migration frameworks to seamlessly transition existing Business Intelligence and data warehouse platforms into Fabric.
 * Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with C-suite stakeholders and financial business units to translate commercial requirements into technical pipelines.
