## About the Role

* Undergraduate preparation in Computer Science or a similar engineering degree, or equivalent professional work experience
 * 10+ years of professional work experience
 * Well-versed in C#/.Net and/or C++
 * Solid knowledge in computer science, math, and proficient coding skills
 * Familiarity with the design and implementation of data/message transfer and processing
 * Excellent communication skills, a good teamwork, and a strong work ethic
 * Maturity to solve problems directly and independently

Desired skills:

 * Familiarity with Fixed Income is a big plus

## Description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Developer - C#.Net - Hybrid position with a Major Financial Institution located in New York, NY. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This individual will be a member of a team working on mission-critical projects for the Capital Markets business, providing technical expertise for the development environment, technology architecture, and implementation. This is a hands-on programming role responsible for participating in the technical design of all aspects of software solutions, including both in-house and external applications.

Responsibilities:

 * Participate in the technical design of all aspects of software solutions for the Capital Market business
 * Assist in the technical vision and strategic planning of software solutions
 * Work with business users and analysts to ensure applications meet user specifications and requirements
 * Interact with the larger development team to share designs and solutions
 * Contribute to the overall objectives of the development team on mission-critical projects
