## About the Role

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, data science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

 * Eight or more years of experience building production data systems.

 * Strong proficiency with Python, SQL, and modern data-engineering patterns.

 * Experience designing data pipelines and products on enterprise data platforms.

 * Experience with data modeling, ontology, data quality, and lineage.

 * Strong software-engineering fundamentals, including testing, source control, CI/CD, and monitoring.

 * Experience supporting a Department of Defense customer.

 * Active Secret clearance.

## Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build authoritative data products supporting Army acquisition and program operations. This engineer will own data pipelines, models, and ontology.

Responsibilities

 * Own the architecture and implementation of scalable data pipelines and data products.

 * Integrate and transform data from multiple Army and enterprise sources.

 * Develop data models and ontology that support applications, reporting, and analysis.

 * Design for data quality, lineage, security, observability, and long-term maintainability.

 * Establish engineering standards for testing, source control, deployment, and operations.

 * Partner with software engineers, product designers, and customer stakeholders.

 * Review technical designs, mentor engineers, and resolve complex data challenges.
