## About the Role

* 7+ years of professional TypeScript/Node.js experience
 * Strong experience with service architecture and DDD
 * PHP 7/8 experience for working with legacy codebases
 * Strong testing experience across unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
 * Experience with high-load, multi-server Node.js applications and APIs
 * Strong knowledge of relational databases and container technologies
 * Cloud experience, ideally GCP
 * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
 * Experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex or Gemini
 * Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
 * Strong mentoring and technical leadership skills
 * Experience working with agile methodologies, particularly Kanban
 * Fluent technical and business English

Nice to have:

 * Games industry or game development experience
 * Full-stack development experience
 * Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Redis, Memcache or Pub/Sub
 * Experience with observability tools such as Sentry and Datadog
 * Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL
 * Experience integrating APIs, payment systems, or data tracking
 * Interest in AI-assisted development and evolving engineering workflows

## Description

We're looking for a Principal Node.js Engineer to lead the extension and improvement of backend services, with a strong focus on scalability, performance, security, and maintainability. You'll play a key role in transforming a core PHP monolith into a secure, well-architected set of decoupled services while contributing high-quality TypeScript and NestJS code.

You'll work closely with technical and product leadership to shape the long-term technical strategy, drive architectural decisions, and improve development practices. You'll also mentor engineers, lead technical discussions, and work across APIs, payment systems, data tracking, testing, and cloud infrastructure.
