## About the Role

* Strong backend development experience, ideally TypeScript/Node.js/NestJS.
 * Good CI/CD experience, ideally GitLab CI.
 * Good experience with Docker and some practical Kubernetes experience.
 * Experience deploying and troubleshooting services, not just developing them locally.
 * A good understanding of testing, debugging, logging and monitoring.
 * Comfortable working across application and infrastructure/deployment areas.
 * Helm, Terraform and Azure/AKS experience would be useful, but I wouldn't make all of these hard requirements.
 * Experience with PostgreSQL, APIs and asynchronous/messaging systems would also be useful given the services we work with.

Nice to have:

 * Experience creating agentic development workflows or writing and maintaining AI skills.
 * npm workspaces / shared-package build systems.
 * Experience supporting SaaS platforms with strict data-privacy requirements (enterprise/multinational customers).

## Description

* Build and maintain backend services, mainly using TypeScript, Node.js and NestJS.
 * Help improve our GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including build, test, security and deployment.
 * Work with Docker, Kubernetes and Helm to deploy and troubleshoot our services.
 * Improve developer tooling and workflows, particularly where we can remove manual work or make things simpler.
 * Help improve observability, monitoring and debugging across our services.
 * Work alongside DevOps on infrastructure and automation where needed, including things like Terraform and Azure.
 * Generally be comfortable working across backend development, CI/CD and the platform rather than focusing only on application code.
