You'll work within the Digital Communications team to identify opportunities for improvement using analytics, user research and stakeholder insight, helping turn evidence into delivered outcomes.You'll support product roadmaps, manage delivery activities and work with colleagues across Public Health Wales to develop accessible, user-centred digital services that meet user needs and organisational priorities.We're looking for someone who is curious, organised and passionate about digital improvement. You will help translate user and business needs into clear actions, manage product backlogs, coordinate delivery activities and support digital improvements.You will work closely with colleagues across Public Health Wales, providing advice and guidance on web standards, accessibility requirements and digital best practice. The role requires strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, explain complex digital concepts in plain English and build consensus around proposed changes.The post holder will support the planning and delivery of website enhancements, monitor performance using web analytics, and help ensure digital products and services are developed in line with accessibility standards, organisational policies and user-centred design principles.This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, continuous improvement and collaborative working to deliver high-quality digital experiences that support public health outcomes across Wales., * Able to travel occasionally between PHW locations for meetings where required. * No DBS check required for this role * The role requires the successful candidate to be a member of the out-of-hours on-call press rota which includes weekday evenings only (not weekends). Responsibilities and Duties Planning and Design * Manage defined streams of work within the web product roadmap, planning and coordinating complex activities such as delivery of website improvements by organising tasks, clarifying requirements, managing timelines and ensuring progress is monitored and documented * Work with teams to define and interpret complex user and business needs for web content or features, organising these into clear, prioritised plans and work packages to support delivery * Use analytics and feedback tools to analyse and interpret complex data and user needs, evaluate options and exercise judgement to determine appropriate solutions where multiple courses of action exist * Identify improvements to pages or journeys and make recommendations that support user needs and organisational goals, considering priorities and contributing to the planning of wider workstreams * Prepare prototypes, page outlines or annotated examples to explain what needs to change and help colleagues visualise proposed improvements, supporting the organisation and delivery of planned activities Product Delivery & Governance * Maintain the product backlog for assigned areas by writing and refining user stories, prioritising tasks based on evidence, removing duplicates and ensuring items are ready for delivery, using digital systems to manage and track work effectively * Coordinate small delivery cycles by organising tasks, checking dependencies, monitoring progress and updating colleagues on what has been completed * Work independently within broad organisational and digital governance policies, managing own workload and priorities with minimal supervision and taking responsibility for delivery within assigned areas * Exercise judgement in applying policies and standards, making decisions within own area of work and escalating complex or highrisk issues where appropriate * Support governance of the web estate by ensuring teams follow agreed standards (e.g., accessibility criteria, design patterns, content style guidance) and documenting cases where improvements are needed * Keep accurate records of decisions, updates and outcomes to support transparency in how the web estate is developed and maintained Communications * Explain highly complex and sometimes sensitive product decisions and options to groups of colleagues and stakeholders in a clear, accessible way, including delivering presentations and supporting agreement on preferred approaches (e.g. demonstrating how a proposed structure improves user journeys or how analytics support recommendations) * Driveeffective communication strategies for committees and stakeholders, ensuring clarity across digital platforms;
