You will possess strong communication, analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to influence, advise and work effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organisation., * Significant experience working in Information Governance, Data Protection or Information Security * Experience of investigating incidents and managing compliance issues * Experience of developing policies, procedures and governance frameworks, * Expert knowledge of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act and Confidentiality requirements * Knowledge of NHS Information Governance standards and frameworks * Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills * Ability to analyse information, investigate issues and recommend solutions * Competent IT skills including Microsoft Office applications, * Knowledge of Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) and information security principles * Knowledge of risk management and audit processes, * Degree level qualification or equivalent experience * Evidence of continuous professional development * Professional qualification, certification or membership relevant to Information Governance ## Description An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Information Governance Manager to join South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust. The Information Governance Manager will support the delivery of the Trust's Information Governance framework, providing specialist advice and guidance on data protection, confidentiality, information security, records management and information sharing. The post holder will work across the organisation to promote compliance with legislation, NHS standards and best practice, ensuring that information is handled lawfully, securely and effectively. This role offers the opportunity to work with a wide range of stakeholders, supporting governance, risk management and organisational improvement initiatives whilst helping to maintain high standards of compliance and information security., The Information Governance Manager will: * Provide specialist advice and support on Information Governance matters across the Trust. * Support compliance with Data Protection legislation, confidentiality requirements and NHS Information Governance standards. * Lead on the management and investigation of Information Governance incidents and breaches. * Support the development, implementation and review of Information Governance policies, procedures and guidance. * Deliver Information Governance training and awareness programmes. * Undertake audits, monitoring activities and compliance reviews. * Support the management of Data Subject Access Requests and other information requests. * Contribute to the completion of national Information Governance requirements, including the Data Security and Protection Toolkit. * Prepare reports, action plans and performance information for governance groups and committees. * Work collaboratively with clinical, operational and corporate services to provide expert Information Governance advice., The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Trust's Information Governance agenda and ensuring compliance with relevant legislative, regulatory and organisational requirements., Information Governance Leadership * Provide expert advice and guidance on Information Governance, Data Protection, confidentiality, records management and information security. * Support the implementation of Information Governance strategies and work programmes. * Promote a positive culture of information governance throughout the Trust. Compliance and Assurance * Monitor compliance with relevant legislation, NHS guidance and organisational policies. * Undertake audits and assurance activities to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement. * Produce reports and recommendations for senior managers and governance committees. Incident Management * Investigate Information Governance incidents and breaches. * Identify root causes and recommend corrective actions to minimise future risk. * Support the maintenance of effective incident reporting and monitoring processes. Data Protection and Information Requests * Support the management of Data Subject Access Requests, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and timescales. * Provide advice on lawful information sharing and disclosure of information. * Support the development and implementation of Data Protection Impact Assessments where required. Training and Awareness * Develop and deliver Information Governance training and awareness activities. * Provide guidance and support to managers and staff on Information Governance responsibilities. * Promote best practice and continuous improvement across the organisation.
