In this varied and rewarding role, you will provide technical support, maintain our IT infrastructure and help ensure that staff and pupils have access to reliable technology that supports teaching, learning and school operations., * Has experience managing IT systems within school /education settings * Experience of IT operating systems and server based technologies * Team mentor/management experience * Expert knowledge of a range of applications and systems including by not limited to: server virtualisation, cloud technologies, wired and wireless networks. * Knowledge of Google Workspace and its administration. * Knowledge of backup solutions, backup principles and Disaster Recovery solutions * Expert knowledge and experience of network security * Advanced awareness of GDPR and Data Security best practice * IT Management experience, with awareness and experience in managing budgets, tendering, procuring and securing value for money * Experience with Microsoft operating systems and applications * Ability to communicate technical language to non technical users * Ability to carry out repairs to hardware and peripherals as necessary * Strong communicator with solutions based approach to problem solving * Have a willingness to extend skills through appropriate training * Ability to work well under pressure * A willingness to develop self and others * Ability to confidently explain ideas, concepts, deliver presentations and training to a range of stakeholders * Understanding of safeguarding within schools ## Description As an IT Manager, you will provide responsive technical support, maintain school systems and help deliver a reliable IT service that enables pupils and staff to succeed. Your work will have a direct impact on the day to day experience of everyone within our school community., As an IT Manager at Barnwood Park, the role is to support the Regional IT Manager in the day-to-day management of all issues relating to IT services. Core role is to provide high-quality IT support for all members of the school community helping to maintain appropriate expectations and standards. Working closely with staff, pupils and external providers where required, you will help deliver an efficient and reliable IT service that supports teaching, learning and the wider operation of the school. Role also entails the postholder to manage, mentor, and monitor the day-to-day workload and professional development of our IT support technicians. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, customer focused individual with strong technical skills who enjoys troubleshooting problems, supporting users and contributing to the continuous improvement of school technology.
