Authentication Policies Rules that define how users prove who they are. Examples: MFA requirements Passwordless authentication Risk-based authentication Step-up authentication (extra verification for sensitive actions) Youd be expected to design, implement, and troubleshoot these. Adapters Experience Adapters are the modules that plug different authentication methods into the identity system. Depending on the platform (Ping, Okta, ForgeRock, Azure AD B2C, etc.), adapters might include: MFA adapters (SMS, authenticator app, biometrics) SAML/OIDC adapters Social login adapters (Google, Apple, etc.) Custom-built adapters for proprietary systems Experience here means: Installing and configuring adapters Customizing their behavior Troubleshooting integration issues Extending them with custom code when needed What This Really Signals About the Role This is identity engineering, not admin, Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. ## Description Forgerock Operations Leadership API Design RESTful API Coordinating Pingfederate Access Rules Authentications Microsoft Azure Problem Solving Active Directory Operating Systems Security Policies Hardware Adapters Influencing Skills Business Valuation System Programming Cloud Applications Workflow Management Systems Engineering Amazon Web Services Single Sign-On (SSO) Business-To-Consumer Full Stack Development Azure Active Directory Business Transformation Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Privileged Access Management Security Requirements Analysis Troubleshooting (Problem Solving) Lightweight Directory Access Protocols Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) Hardware Compatibility (Software Requirements), Participates in design, development and implementation of systems engineering activities, to include OS technical support, systems programming, and data center capabilities. In other words: hands-on identity engineering, not just administration. Full Breakdown: Building Policies Creating rules that govern: Who can access what Under what conditions With what security requirements Examples: Conditional access rules Password complexity policies Session timeout rules Device compliance requirements This isnt clicking through settingsits designing policy frameworks that align with business and security needs.
