## About the Role

Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance or currently possess an active Secret Clearance
-CompTIA Security+ certification
-Agile Developer, Professional Scrum Developer, Certified Scrum Developer, or related Agile certification
-Strong Kubernetes experience
-Experience with enterprise container platforms such as OpenShift, Rancher, or Tanzu
-Experience reviewing and evaluating technical architectures
-Knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies and modern CI/CD practices
-Experience with Linux and Windows environments
-Understanding of networking, cloud-native architectures, and microservices
-Knowledge of IAM, ICAM, RBAC, and Active Directory integrations
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to work effectively in cross-functional engineering environments, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
-Experience supporting DoD or federal government programs
-Experience with tactical mission systems
-Familiarity with CANES or related Navy environments

## Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to support a government-focused technology modernization effort in North Charleston, SC.

This position is ideal for a technical professional who enjoys evaluating emerging technologies, leading platform architecture discussions, and helping engineering teams implement modern Kubernetes-based solutions. The engineer will work closely with government stakeholders and technology vendors to assess new software platforms, conduct technical evaluations, and provide recommendations on future-state platform capabilities.

The role combines hands-on technical expertise with architecture review, platform strategy, DevSecOps practices, and technical leadership.

Responsibilities
-Evaluate and assess modern Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) technologies
-Lead technical evaluations of Kubernetes ecosystem platforms including OpenShift, Rancher, and Tanzu
-Review software architectures, technical proposals, and engineering deliverables
-Provide technical leadership to software developers and partner organizations
-Coordinate lab testing and integration activities across engineering teams
-Develop recommendations regarding platform modernization efforts
-Support implementation of cloud-native and microservices-based architectures
-Ensure platforms meet security, operational, and performance requirements
-Guide automation, CI/CD, and DevSecOps initiatives
-Support identity and access management integrations including Active Directory, IAM, ICAM, and RBAC
-Participate in Agile development activities and team ceremonies
-Present technical findings and recommendations to engineers and leadership
-Research emerging technologies and evaluate applicability within enterprise environments
