Beyond base salary, this role may be eligible for equity awards and participation in our company incentive plans (such as annual discretionary bonuses or sales commissions). The final offer amount will depend on several factors, including geographic location and the candidate's relevant experience, professional background, and skill set. ## Description We're looking for a Software Engineer to join our platform systems team who will help build and maintain our core Linux platform support. You'll work on a broad range of low-level engine systems, developing and maintaining the tech that underpins our Linux targets, including SteamOS and exciting new partnerships leveraging Cloud technology. You'll be part of an agile team collaborating with other groups across Unity. While this role focuses on Linux, there will be opportunities to contribute to other platforms that Unity supports and develop your skills and knowledge in new areas. With your help Unity's platform support will continue to grow and enable developers to reach even bigger audiences! What you'll be doing * Developing & maintaining our core Linux platform support * Ensuring stability by investigating and resolving bug reports * Strengthening quality and delivery through automated testing and thoughtful code reviews * Working with Product, Program Management, Engineering and QA teams to bring new engine features to Linux platforms, This position requires the incumbent to have a sufficient knowledge of English to have professional verbal and written exchanges in this language since the performance of the duties related to this position requires frequent and regular communication with colleagues and partners located worldwide and whose common language is English.
