## About the Role

* Strong commercial Oracle DBA experience.
 * Oracle 12c/19c or later.
 * Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
 * RMAN backup and recovery.
 * Oracle Data Guard.
 * Performance tuning and troubleshooting.
 * Linux/Unix and shell scripting.
 * Experience supporting business-critical production environments.
 * Oracle RAC/ASM/OEM experience is advantageous.

Security Clearance:

Current SC (Security Check) Clearance is highly desirable. Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain SC Clearance.

The successful candidate will have strong troubleshooting and communication skills, a proactive approach to database management and the ability to work effectively within secure and controlled IT environments., * Do you currently hold, have previously held, or are you eligible to obtain UK Security Check (SC) Clearance?

## Description

* Install, configure, patch, upgrade and maintain Oracle databases.
 * Monitor database availability, performance and capacity.
 * Troubleshoot and resolve database and performance issues.
 * Manage backups, restores and recovery using Oracle RMAN.
 * Support Oracle Data Guard and high-availability environments.
 * Perform SQL/PLSQL performance tuning and optimisation.
 * Manage database security, users, roles and permissions.
 * Perform database migrations, cloning and environment refreshes.
 * Support production releases and disaster recovery activities.
 * Maintain database documentation and operational procedures.
