The successful candidate will act as a design authority for a large-scale customer access network, working alongside senior network designers and architects. The role focuses on defining and managing the hardware and software lifecycle of a Juniper- and Cisco-based Hub-and-Spoke network architecture, while ensuring high levels of security, resilience, availability, and operational integrity. Regular on-site presence in Belgium is required to support testing, validation, and implementation activities., * Contribute to the evolution of network architecture and technology solutions through strategic evaluation of new technologies, products, and design improvements. * Define and review network solutions in collaboration with architects, engineering teams, business stakeholders, customers, management, and technology partners. * Provide senior-level technical guidance throughout solution design and implementation activities. * Ensure network designs meet technical, operational, resilience, and cybersecurity requirements. * Act as a senior escalation point for complex network and infrastructure incidents. * Support operational teams with advanced troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of critical network issues. * Work closely with technology vendors and cybersecurity teams to identify and remediate network security vulnerabilities. * Define and coordinate software upgrades, security patches, configuration improvements, and lifecycle initiatives. * Participate in cross-functional projects as a Network Subject Matter Expert and contribute to technical design reviews. * Maintain high-quality technical and network design documentation and stay current with networking and cybersecurity developments.
