## About the Role

* Understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems, including software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
 * Familiarity with networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
 * Exposure to IT support tools (ticketing systems, remote desktop software, etc.).
 * Knowledge of basic cybersecurity principles, including antivirus, firewalls, and encryption.
 * Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
 * Good problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
 * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
 * Enthusiastic about IT and eager to learn new skills.
 * IT-related certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified, or similar) are a plus but not essential.
 * Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy.
 * Knowledge of cloud-based applications like Office 365 or Google Workspace.
 * knowledge of IT hardware and peripherals (PCs, printers, routers, etc.).
 * Understanding of virtual environments and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure).
 * A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or relevant IT qualifications/certifications.

## Description

Assist in providing first-line support to our users, ensuring that technical issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.

Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 * Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and network issues, including troubleshooting and resolving IT-related problems via email, phone, or in person.
 * Assist in setting up, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software systems.
 * Perform software installations, updates, and upgrades on users' systems.
 * Help in diagnosing and resolving network and connectivity issues.
 * Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of company servers, workstations, and network systems.
 * Document and track support requests, solutions, and any ongoing issues using the helpdesk system.
 * Provide basic support for Office 365, Active Directory, and other company-specific software.
 * Assist in user account management, including password resets and access permissions.
 * Provide support during system outages and participate in IT projects as needed.
 * Maintain IT inventory, including computers, printers, and accessories.
 * Work closely with senior engineers and other IT staff to enhance internal processes and systems.
