These digital twins help our engineers and customers understand, validate and optimize complex airport and parcel handling operations before they are deployed in the real world., As a Software (Emulation) Engineer, you will be involved in the full software development lifecycle. Working closely with colleagues from various disciplines, you will: * Design, develop, test and maintain emulation software and simulation models * Translate business requirements and abstract concepts into functional software solutions * Create digital representations of automated logistic systems and processes * Develop software that models transportation, sortation and storage equipment * Integrate communication with external systems, reporting tools and data analysis capabilities * Continuously improve software quality, performance and maintainability * Collaborate with international teams and stakeholders across Vanderlande One of the key challenges in this role is finding the right balance between realism and simplicity.
