We operate in a chapter-based engineering model, where craftsmanship, leadership, and continuous improvement are key to delivering high-quality software at scale. As a Chapter Lead TypeScript / Angular, you are responsible for the "how" within the frontend engineering capability-combining people leadership, technical excellence, and standardisation of ways of working. You will lead a chapter of highly skilled engineers and act as a thought leader in Angular and TypeScript, while remaining hands-on in engineering work. This is a hybrid leadership role: * ~70% contributing to engineering and delivery * ~30% focused on coaching, people management, and chapter leadership, * Lead, coach, and develop a chapter of 4-15 engineers (internal and external) * Drive performance management, growth conversations, and career development for chapter members * Build a strong engineering culture focused on craftsmanship, ownership, and continuous learning * Act as a mentor and coach, supporting both soft and hard skill development * Ensure employee engagement, retention, and professional development within the chapter, * Act as a thought leader in Angular and TypeScript, setting direction and standards * Define and enforce frontend architecture, design principles, and coding standards * Ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure frontend applications * Guide teams in modern frontend engineering practices (testing, CI/CD, performance, accessibility) * Contribute hands-on to complex technical implementations You are expected to have deep expert-level knowledge in: * Angular (enterprise-scale applications) * TypeScript (frontend and potentially backend APIs) * Frontend architecture, design systems, and usability, * Define and implement best practices, frameworks, and development standards across the chapter * Establish knowledge-sharing structures, communities of practice, and guilds * Ensure alignment with global engineering standards and compliance requirements * Drive continuous improvement in engineering maturity and developer experience 4.
