## About the Role

* Minimum 5 years of experience in data warehouse modelling.
 * Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Architect.
 * Proven experience designing and building data warehouse solutions.
 * Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, processes, and architectures.
 * Hands-on experience with:
 + Azure DevOps
 + Azure Synapse
 + Databricks
 + dbt
 + ETL/data integration
 * Experience with Cognos or DataStage is an advantage.
 * Experience in the public sector and preferably the waste management/environmental sector.
 * Knowledge of Power BI, dimensional modelling, BI, and metadata management is a plus.
 * Experience with Agile methodologies.
 * Dutch: CEFR C2/native-level proficiency.

## Description

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to support the modernization of a data platform within a public-sector environment. The role focuses on data warehouse architecture, modelling, ETL, analytics, and the development of scalable data solutions using modern Azure technologies.

 * Design, develop, and maintain data warehouse solutions and architectures.
 * Create and maintain dimensional and data models.
 * Develop data integration and ETL pipelines.
 * Work with databases, metadata, BI, and reporting components.
 * Contribute to the modernization of existing data platforms and applications.
 * Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders in an Agile environment.
 * Apply best practices for data quality, architecture, and scalable data solutions.
 * Take a leading role in data engineering and architecture activities.
