## About the Role

* Degree qualified in a relevant subject and Chartered Engineer status.
 * 10+ years' experience in the full development lifecycle (requirements to manufacture) of hardware for safety critical, embedded software defence systems.
 * A current SC clearance or willingness to apply.
 * Experience in formal methods and/or rigorous design notations such as SCADE.
 * A good appreciation of safety engineering, reliability engineering and security considerations.
 * Strong customer facing and interpersonal skills

Desirable

 * Knowledge and/or appreciation of ADA and/or SPARK
 * Ability to lead small teams of up to 5 people.

## Description

Capgemini Engineering are seeking to appoint a Hardware Systems engineer to work on safety critical, defence related projects. You will operate in a project environment working with our team to design an end-to-end hardware/software system.

In this role you will play a key role in:

 * Liaise closely with our clients to develop system requirements for safety related/critical, real-time, embedded systems.
 * Allocate functional and safety requirements between hardware and software.
 * Support project safety engineers in hardware hazard analyses and identify mitigations.
 * Develop system hardware architectures and system safety arguments.
 * Support activities surrounding EMC qualification and environmental certification.
