## About the Role

You will work closely with Product, Design and Development teams to ensure new features, improvements and bug fixes are thoroughly tested before release. The role requires strong attention to detail, an understanding of complete user journeys and the ability to identify issues beyond the standard expected scenarios., * Previous experience in a Manual QA, Software Tester or QA Engineer role.

 * Experience testing both web and mobile applications.
 * Experience testing iOS and Android applications.
 * Good understanding of functional, regression, exploratory and end-to-end testing.
 * Experience writing and executing test cases.
 * Strong ability to identify, reproduce and clearly document software defects.
 * Experience using tools such as Jira or similar issue-tracking platforms.
 * Good understanding of Agile software development.
 * Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
 * Good written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable Skills

 * API testing using Postman or similar tools.
 * Basic SQL or database querying experience.
 * Experience with MongoDB.
 * Experience using browser developer tools.
 * Experience testing SaaS platforms or complex multi-user applications.
 * Familiarity with tools such as PostHog or Sentry.
 * Basic understanding of test automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress or Selenium.

Automation experience is beneficial but not required. The main focus of this role is high-quality manual testing across all Orta platforms.

We are looking for someone who is curious, methodical and comfortable questioning how a feature should behave. You should be able to think beyond the happy path, identify edge cases and understand how changes in one part of the platform could affect other areas.

You will play an important role in ensuring Orta delivers a reliable and consistent experience across both web and mobile.

## Description

* Perform manual testing across Orta's web, iOS and Android applications.
 * Test new features, enhancements and bug fixes against requirements and acceptance criteria.
 * Carry out functional, regression, smoke, exploratory and end-to-end testing.
 * Test across different browsers, devices, screen sizes, user roles and organisation types.
 * Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios and regression checklists.
 * Identify edge cases and potential issues that may not be covered within the original requirements.
 * Log clear and reproducible bugs with appropriate evidence and steps to reproduce.
 * Retest resolved issues and perform regression testing around affected areas.
 * Test complete user journeys across interconnected areas of the platform.
 * Validate mobile-specific functionality including notifications, permissions, uploads, authentication and application behaviour.
 * Review requirements and designs before development to identify potential gaps or unclear behaviour.
 * Support release testing and confirm whether functionality is ready for production.
 * Work closely with developers, designers and product stakeholders to improve overall product quality.
