Required Knowledge & Skills * Experience designing, developing, and supporting solutions using the Ignition platform. * Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, industrial automation, and data integration concepts. * Knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity best practices. * Familiarity with DevOps methodologies, Agile principles, and CI/CD pipelines. * Working knowledge of cloud technologies, open-source tools, and modern software development practices. * Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams. * Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills. Required Experience * Experience developing software solutions using Python. * Hands-on experience with Ignition development and configuration preferred. * Experience working with SQL databases, data modeling, and query development. * Knowledge of Java programming and scripting concepts. * Experience integrating industrial systems, including PLCs, SCADA, and manufacturing equipment. * Understanding of MES applications and manufacturing execution processes. * Familiarity with manufacturing plant infrastructure and machine data collection architectures. * Experience supporting production environments and troubleshooting complex system issues. ## Description As part of Saint-Gobain's Digital Manufacturing Program, the I4.0 Software Engineer plays a critical role in accelerating the digital transformation of manufacturing operations across North America. We are looking for a technology-driven professional who can combine software development, industrial automation, systems integration, and DevOps expertise to deliver innovative solutions that improve production, quality, maintenance, and operational performance.
