Preferred: -Experience interviewing financial industry professionals, reporting financial news in a concise and timely fashion and breaking exclusive news content. ## Description PeakLoad, an energy news service, is seeking a talented and motivated part-time or full-time research analyst to join our growing team that reports on the global energy market and the transition toward a low-carbon economy. The new hire will be responsible for researching, analysing, and eventually reporting on the latest developments in the power, gas, utilities and data centre sectors, with a specific focus on M&A and financing transactions, as well as investment firm fundraising activity., Conduct in-depth research of the North American, EMEA and APAC markets, scouring the market for information of new transactions and industry players, as well as analysing trends and new regulations. -Help expand and continuously update our proprietary database of energy projects, investment firms, energy companies and industry executives. -Ensure the accuracy of our database, including fact-checking, cross referencing and timely updates of existing data. -Lead and supervise data entry into the system, staying on top of current processes and potential improvements. -Help train emerging LLM models to gather and systematize data. Optional: -Report on live and completed transactions and build a network of industry contact to talk with.
