The ideal candidate: * possesses a solid understanding of software products and a sharp eye for detail * is comfortable combining manual, exploratory testing with writing automated tests (we use Cypress), or is eager to learn * can prioritise their tasks effectively and with minimal direction and zero micromanagement * welcomes constructive feedback, maintains high self-awareness, and commits to team decisions * has strong communication skills in English * has previous work experience in a product company, preferably in SaaS * nice to have: experience with web accessibility testing (WCAG 2.1 AA) ## Description Ten years ago, we started with one clear goal: to make life easier for teachers and students when it comes to assessments. Today, thousands of teachers use our SaaS platform every day, in the Netherlands and beyond. But we're not done! We have built a hybrid assessment platform that universities across the world use to create, take, and grade exams, on paper or digitally. We are a small team based in Delft, aiming for stability, product quality, and doing meaningful work. We value clear written communication and respect your uninterrupted time. We do not do endless meetings; we write things down instead. About the role: We're looking for a QA Tester. We have a QA process in place, but the tester who built it has moved on, so there's plenty of room to put your own mark on it. We test with a mix of manual and automated work; our automated end-to-end suite runs on Cypress. In this role, you'll: * own the testing of the features you pick up, from scoping through to production * write clear, reproducible bug reports that catch edge cases beyond the happy path * write and maintain our automated end-to-end tests in Cypress * verify bug fixes written by the engineers, to make sure the bugs you found are squashed * get to know how our customers actually use the platform, so you can test the workflows that matter most * help keep our platform WCAG 2.1 AA compliant ## Related Videos - [Debugging in the Dark](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1658-debugging-in-the-dark) - [The What, Why, Who and How of accessibility on the web](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/403-the-what-why-who-and-how-of-accessibility-on-the-web) - [3x Performance: A Humbling Journey](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100165-3x-performance-a-humbling-journey) - [Accessibility Test Driven Development](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1578-accessibility-test-driven-development) - [Decoding web accessibility through audit](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/507-decoding-web-accessibility-through-audit) - [WeAreDevelopers LIVE - Gaps in CSS, EU Accessibility Act and more!](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1314-wearedevelopers-live-gaps-in-css-eu-accessibility-act-and-more) ## Related Articles - [The 8 Best Code Testing Tools](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/402-the-8-best-code-testing-tools) - [Dev Digest 121 - AI goes offline](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/456-dev-digest-121-ai-goes-offline) - [Dev Digest 133 - Back to Front](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/474-dev-digest-133-back-to-front) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Dev Digest 119 - ❤️ === ❤️](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/454-dev-digest-119) - [Dev Digest 131 - AI'm not sure about OSS](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/472-dev-digest-131-ai-m-not-sure-about-oss)
