We are hiring entry-level Field Technicians to install temporary traffic-counting equipment and video cameras across the region. This is hands-on, active outdoor work-no offices, no cubicles. You will travel to project sites, safely set up and retrieve equipment in live-traffic environments, and help collect the critical roadway data that powers infrastructure engineering and government projects. What You'll Do · Accurate Data Collection & Deployment: Safely set up, operate, and retrieve temporary video cameras, road tubes, and data counters to capture high-quality traffic metrics. · Site Studies & Documentation: Conduct field studies, sketch intersections, record signal timing/phasing, and log observational data according to exact client specifications. · Safety & PPE Compliance: Execute all operations with a safety-first mindset-applying defensive driving techniques, identifying potential hazards, and consistently wearing required PPE in live-traffic environments. · Timely Field Reporting: Keep projects running smoothly by submitting three quick daily updates (schedule confirmation, equipment setup statuses, and equipment retrieval results) and promptly communicating any field disruptions. · Equipment & Vehicle Stewardship: Maintain high-value technology and company vehicles through pre-deployment checks, organized tool management, and routine vehicle inspections. Schedule & Travel Requirements · Flexibility: Schedules vary based on project needs.
