## About the Role

We're keen to speak with candidates who have experience in some or all of the following:

 * Hands-on administration of sharded MongoDB clusters.
 * Building and managing Kubernetes environments, including GKE and self-managed clusters.
 * Designing and supporting highly available, resilient infrastructure.
 * Monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack and rsyslog.
 * Infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, Packer and Bash.
 * Strong Linux administration experience, particularly Ubuntu environments.
 * Exposure to medium or large-scale business environments.
 * Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
 * Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
 * Experience collaborating with teams across multiple locations and time zones.

## Description

This is a hands-on role focused on Kubernetes, Linux administration, automation, monitoring, and platform reliability. You'll play a key part in ensuring critical systems remain secure, scalable and highly available while supporting engineering teams across a global business., * Building, managing and scaling Kubernetes clusters across cloud and on-premise environments.

 * Supporting and administering MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases.
 * Managing monitoring, alerting and logging platforms.
 * Automating infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code and scripting.
 * Maintaining high availability and resilience across critical systems.
 * Managing access controls and permissions within cloud platforms.
 * Troubleshooting, performance tuning and platform optimisation.
 * Developing technical standards, best practices and documentation.
 * Providing technical support and guidance to internal engineering teams.
