 * Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs.
 * Ability to obtain/Maintain Secret clearance

## Description

SAIC is seeking an Systems Engineer to support the Infrared and Radio Frequency (IR/RF) Surface Offboard Countermeasures Engineering Branch located at NSWC Crane in Crane, Indiana. The candidate will provide high level of technical and engineering support for Nulka systems., Support engineering activities such as design, test, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electronic and mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment. Applications may include electronic circuits, photonics and logic systems. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions. . Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Collects, maintains, organizes, compiles, and manipulates technical data. Assist in preparing engineering documentation, reports, drawings (sketches/flow charts/diagrams/schematics, etc.). Undertakes analysis of data where guidelines are provided., * Troubleshooting and repair of on-site assets.

 * Proficiency in testing shipboard wiring, power conversion modules, consoles, and fault display panels using multimeters and oscilloscopes.
 * Provide a high level of testing, and maintenance.
 * Ability to diagnose and repair critical defense readiness systems.
 * Strict adherence to ordnance safety protocols, hazardous material handling, and electrostatic discharge (ESD) prevention.
