## About the Role

* Extensive experience in Infrastructure, Systems or Platform Engineering within a complex enterprise environment.
 * Strong expertise in Azure and modern cloud technologies.
 * Advanced automation and Infrastructure as Code skills, including Terraform, PowerShell and Ansible.
 * Deep knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
 * Strong understanding of platform engineering, CI/CD and observability.
 * Experience influencing technical direction and engineering standards.
 * Broad infrastructure knowledge across Windows, Linux, networking and enterprise platforms.
 * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

 * Financial Services or regulated environment experience.
 * Docker and Kubernetes.
 * Intune and SCCM.
 * Hypervisor or hyperconverged infrastructure technologies.

## Description

This is a senior, hands-on technical leadership role for an experienced engineer who combines deep infrastructure expertise with modern cloud and platform engineering capabilities. You'll play a key role in shaping and supporting our enterprise technology platforms across on-premises and cloud environments, acting as a trusted technical authority and escalation point across the business., * Act as the senior technical authority and escalation point across infrastructure, cloud, identity and platform services.

 * Provide technical leadership and deputise for the IT Systems Team Manager when required.
 * Drive the design, resilience and continuous improvement of on-premises and cloud platforms.
 * Lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex technical issues and major incidents.
 * Influence engineering standards, architecture decisions and platform best practices.
 * Develop automation, Infrastructure as Code and reusable platform capabilities.
 * Provide technical oversight of third-party suppliers and solutions.
 * Mentor engineers and champion secure, resilient and automation-first ways of working.
