## About the Role

* Degree, management qualification or relevant professional qualification
 * Working knowledge of information security practices in a large and complex organisation
 * Proven experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
 * Experience of resolving technical security related issues
 * Experience of information security tools
 * Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO27001 and NIST
 * Experience of data protection, UK legislation and GDPR
 * Ability to extract and interpret computerised data
 * Knowledge of the Data Protection Act and its application
 * Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer care skills

## Description

We are looking for an experienced Information Security Officer to join our Technology Security team within the Group's Technology Department. The team consists of 4 people who are responsible for protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Group's data and technology. They do this by providing security expertise to staff to develop a culture of security, awareness, compliance, and inclusion throughout the Group. If you have a passion for the security and privacy of individuals and systems this may be the role for you., * Supporting the development and maintenance of information security policies and processes to ensure data, systems and applications are secure and robust

 * Providing support and advice to staff and partners on governance and compliance frameworks, policies and procedures as needed
 * Supporting the effective resolution of customers' security issues and queries
 * Liaising with the Technology Service Desk to ensure a high-quality level of customer service is provided
 * Carrying out appraisals of new and existing processes and their suitability to meet the future needs of the Group whilst meeting security requirements
 * Identifying risks and vulnerabilities and raising awareness of these information security issues
 * Promoting digital health and wellbeing
