## About the Role

* 5+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience
 * Production experience with Python, React, and TypeScript
 * Strong SQL and PostgreSQL skills with solid data-modeling experience
 * Professional experience building software for private markets, venture capital, investment management, or startup financial operations
 * Experience with one or more of:

 + Cap tables
 + Ownership and dilution
 + Valuations
 + Portfolio monitoring
 + Financial reporting
 + LP reporting
 + Fund operations
 + Capital calls
 * Strong ability to work directly with business and investor stakeholders
 * Demonstrated experience shipping and maintaining production software
 * Ability to work in a hands-on individual contributor engineering role
 * Ability to work hybrid in Foster City, CA or San Francisco, CA, approximately 3 days per week, * Experience at a venture capital fund, private markets platform, or financial technology company
 * Experience with platforms such as Carta, PitchBook, Pulley, Juniper Square, Aumni, Chronograph, or similar
 * AWS production experience, including ECS, CI/CD, and monitoring
 * Experience building production applications using LLMs, retrieval, evaluation, or agent tooling
 * Experience working with complex financial or investment datasets

## Description

* Build and enhance software for portfolio monitoring, valuations, financial reporting, and LP reporting
 * Develop automated data ingestion and data-quality workflows
 * Build tools to identify and resolve financial data discrepancies
 * Design and maintain scalable backend services using Python
 * Build responsive interfaces using React and TypeScript
 * Design strong PostgreSQL data models for complex financial data
 * Work directly with investor, finance, and operations stakeholders to translate business needs into software
 * Develop AI/LLM-powered internal tools where appropriate
 * Own features from technical design through production deployment and ongoing improvement
 * Participate in production ownership, monitoring, and continuous improvement
