## About the Role

Due to the nature of our work, US Citizenship is required for all positions.

 * Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and experience, plus a minimum of 11 years of related and progressively responsible experience.
 * Five years or more of experience in managing data teams and data projects.
 * Leading projects with stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering.
 * Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, with a track record of meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
 * Proven track record of implementing data platforms for large and complex systems.
 * Experience with implementing process improvements and automation.
 * Experience with data modeling, database design, and data integration approaches.
 * Experience with Data warehousing - Virtual data warehousing exposure is desired.
 * Exposure to developing a Semantic Query layer is desired.
 * Experience creating dashboards/visualizations in PowerBI.
 * Experience writing script, code to automate processes.
 * Experience with cloud-based data storage and analytics technologies.
 * Experience with code and deployment automation for data pipelines.
 * Experience with data governance, data quality, and data security best practices.
 * Strong Analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
 * Exposure to one or more formal architecture frameworks and related modeling languages and notations.
 * The primary work location will be at the Losee Road Facility in North Las Vegas, Nevada.
 * Work schedule will be 4/10s Monday through Thursday (subject to change).
 * Pre-placement physical examination, which includes a drug screen, is required. MSTS maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
 * Must possess a valid driver's license.

Ability to obtain a HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification credential under the Department of Energy Order 206.2, ' Identity, Credential, and Access Management ,' and Supplemental Directive NNSA SD 206.2, ' Implementation of Personal Identity Verification for Uncleared Contractors .'

 * Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project scope and budget
 * Technical Expertise
 * Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data analytics and engineering.
 * Provide technical guidance and support to the team.
 * Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
 * Stakeholder Collaboration
 * Work closely with business leaders, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
 * Ensure alignment between data initiatives and business goals.
 * Data Analysis and Reporting
 * Oversee the development of analytical models and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
 * Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business improvement.
