## About the Role

* Active DoD Secret clearance
 * 5+ years of experience as a data/business analyst engaging directly with senior stakeholders on metrics and reporting requirements
 * Comfortable operating at the intersection of business need and technical data availability
 * Proficiency in at least one BI/visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau, or Databricks Dashboards)
 * Strong SQL skills and working knowledge of data management concepts
 * Experience defining and operationalizing KPIs and metrics frameworks
 * Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data quality principles
 * Familiarity with government financial, HR, CRM, or ITSM systems, * Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 * Excellent writing and grammatical skills
 * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
 * Experience with Databricks SQL and the Databricks Lakehouse platform
 * Databricks Certified Data Analyst Associate certification
 * Data governance and data quality fluency
 * Dashboard UX and data storytelling expertise
 * Formal KPI-framework design experience

## Description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Data/Visualization Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will harness your expertise in data analytics tools, business intelligence, and visualization platforms to transform complex data into actionable insights. You will collaborate across teams to develop compelling dashboards, reports, and data models that support strategic decision-making and operational excellence., The Data/Visualization Analyst will serve as the requirements bridge between agency leadership and the Databricks engineering team on the data and reporting side of the effort. This individual will engage with stakeholders to define metrics, KPIs, and reporting outcomes, then translate those requirements into concrete data requirements that the engineering team can act on, supporting the Government's objective of directing requirements to existing platforms rather than additional commercial tooling.

 * Engage with agency leadership and stakeholders to define specific metrics, KPIs, and reporting outcomes they want to track from business system data
 * Translate leadership reporting and metrics requirements into concrete data requirements (data elements, source systems) for the Databricks engineering team
 * Support the Government's platform-strategy objective of directing requirements to existing owned platforms rather than additional commercial BI tooling
 * Coordinate with Databricks engineers to confirm data sources and integrations will produce required outputs, prior to and during build
 * Support downstream visualization efforts (Power BI, Tableau) by ensuring underlying data and metrics definitions are correct and complete
 * Establish standardized KPI definitions, data validation frameworks, and metric consistency across reporting products
 * Conduct requirements gathering sessions and UAT with business users to ensure dashboards meet analytical needs
 * Present data-driven insights and recommendations to stakeholders across multiple business domains
