You bring: * 10+ years of experience in Enterprise / IT Architecture; * experience with complex international IT landscapes; * demonstrable experience with carve-outs, separations or New-Co setups; * experience designing Target Operating Models and Target Architectures; * broad knowledge of infrastructure, cloud, security, applications, data and integration; * experience with ERP/CRM and business-critical enterprise applications; * knowledge of IT sourcing, SaaS and managed services; * experience with TSAs and transition/exit planning is a strong advantage; * experience with Day-1 readiness and transitional architectures; * excellent communication skills at both management and technical levels. Personal Profile The right person is not an architect who only produces models and architecture diagrams. You are hands-on, analytical and decisive, and are able to independently provide direction in a complex architecture environment. You are comfortable working with incomplete information, conflicting interests and the time pressure typically associated with a carve-out. You are able to translate: complexity * clarity * choices * architecture * executable transition ## Description The organisation is undergoing a major transformation: a standalone New-Co is being established that must be able to operate independently following the carve-out. As Enterprise IT Architect, you will be part of the transformation team and will be responsible for designing the end-to-end IT architecture for the New-Co. You will operate at the intersection of business, IT, security, data, infrastructure and application domains. You will translate the future operating model of the New-Co into a coherent, scalable and manageable IT landscape. Your Assignment You will design the Target Enterprise Architecture for the New-Co and determine which IT capabilities, applications, infrastructure, data and integration services are required to enable the new organisation to operate independently. This includes determining: * which components of the existing Global IT landscape can or should be separated; * which services will temporarily continue to be provided by the existing organisation; * which services need to be covered through Transition Service Agreements (TSAs); * which IT components need to be newly established; * which applications need to be replaced, migrated, replicated or reimplemented; * how data, interfaces and integrations will be separated from the Global Co; * how identity, security, networking, workplace, cloud and infrastructure services will be established for the New-Co; * which architecture is required for Day 1 and which components can be further developed afterwards., Enterprise Architecture * Design the end-to-end Enterprise Architecture for the New-Co. * Define the current-state, carve-out architecture and Target Architecture. * Establish architecture principles, standards and design decisions. * Ensure alignment between business, information, application, data, integration and technology architecture. Carve-out & Transition * Translate the carve-out scope into a concrete IT architecture. * Identify dependencies with the Global Co. * Support the definition of TSAs and the corresponding exit strategy. * Design the transition from the current environment towards a fully independent New-Co. * Identify critical Day-1 requirements, dependencies and risks. * Develop a phased architecture and transition roadmap. IT Landscape The architecture will cover areas including: * Cloud & Infrastructure * Networking & Connectivity * Cybersecurity & IAM * Workplace / End User Computing * ERP * CRM * Finance & HR * Supply Chain / Operations * Data & Analytics * Integration / API Landscape * Application Landscape * IT Service Management * Monitoring, Backup & Disaster Recovery * Business Continuity * Vendor & SaaS Landscape Stakeholder Management You will work closely with: * the Transformation / Carve-out Lead; * Business Process Owners; * Enterprise, Solution and Domain Architects; * IT Management; * Security & Risk teams; * Data & Integration teams; * external IT suppliers; * architecture teams within the Global Co; * management and key stakeholders of the future New-Co. You will be able to translate complex architecture topics into clear choices, consequences, dependencies and decision points for management. Expected Outcome The ultimate outcome is a concrete and agreed architecture that enables the New-Co to: 1. be operational on Day 1; 2. be effectively separated from the Global Co; 3. avoid unnecessary long-term dependencies on the former parent organisation; 4. have a clear path towards a fully independent IT-organisation; 5. have a scalable IT architecture supporting the future European organisation.
