In this role, you will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and SAP data, ensuring reporting requirements are clearly defined, translated into actionable data solutions, and delivered with accuracy and impact. You will work closely with Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, and Data Engineering teams to support data-driven decision-making while improving reporting processes and data quality across the organization. This is a great opportunity to influence business decisions, collaborate across functions, and help shape the future of data and analytics at STG. What your day will look like In this role, you will typically focus on: Partner directly with business stakeholders - Finance leadership, Sales/Commercial, Supply Chain/Operations - to understand their reporting and data needs, and translate them into concrete data requirements. Work closely with data engineers to scope, request, and validate data pulled from SAP, acting as the translation layer between business language and technical/data specifications. Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, validate, and consolidate data for recurring and ad hoc reporting. Build and maintain Excel-based models, trackers, and reports that stakeholders rely on for decision-making. Consolidate data into stakeholder-ready reporting, and supporting data checks. Act as the go-to person for scoping ambiguous stakeholder requests - clarifying what's actually needed, managing expectations, and pushing back constructively when a request isn't well-defined or feasible. Identify data quality issues at the source and work with SAP module owners and data engineers to resolve them. Document data definitions, sources, and logic so reporting stays consistent and auditable month over month. Continuously look for ways to streamline the process rather than repeating manual work each cycle.
