## Description

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer on a contract to hire basis to support ongoing operational workload and upcoming infrastructure initiatives. This role requires a technical engineer with strong hands-on experience across systems, infrastructure, virtualization, security, and cloud technologies.

 * The engineer will work closely with the Infrastructure Architect and internal IT teams to maintain system stability, reliability, security, and performance across the environment.

Core Responsibilities

Infrastructure Administration & Support

 * Manage physical and virtual infrastructure environments
 * Support servers, storage platforms, networking infrastructure, virtualization technologies, and cloud services
 * Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, availability, and operational health

Troubleshooting & Incident Response

 * Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, system, and network issues
 * Support both on-premises and cloud-based environments
 * Participate in incident response activities and operational support efforts

Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery

 * Assist with disaster recovery planning and testing
 * Support business continuity initiatives
 * Participate in recovery and resiliency efforts when required

Security Administration

 * Implement and maintain infrastructure security controls

Support administration of

 * Firewalls
 * IDS/IPS solutions
 * Patch management processes
 * Security hardening initiatives
 * Ensure infrastructure systems align with security and compliance requirements
 * Microsoft & Virtualization Technologies

Deploy, maintain, and support:

 * Windows Server
 * Active Directory
 * DNS
 * DHCP
 * VMware
 * Hyper-V
 * Assist with infrastructure upgrades, maintenance, and optimization efforts
