## About the Role

Essential:

 * CCNA certification (or equivalent experience/actively working towards it).
 * Proven hands-on experience in the telecommunications or networking industry.
 * Strong technical knowledge, particularly with Cisco equipment.
 * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 * Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools.
 * Well-organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking effectively.
 * Full, clean UK driving license.

Desirable:

 * Additional Cisco certifications such as CCENT, CCT, or advanced CCNA specializations (e.g., Cloud, CyberOps).

## Description

The primary focus of this role is to provide expert technical services, including installing, configuring, and decommissioning Cisco network equipment. As a contractor, you will support our nationwide operations, troubleshoot and resolve on-site challenges, and ensure all work meets high technical, quality, and safety standards. This role suits engineers seeking flexible, ad-hoc assignments., * Install, configure, and maintain Cisco routers, switches, and access points on-site.

 * Conduct technical assessments, including Wi-Fi surveys and Wireless Access Point (WAP) installations.
 * Collaborate with clients to understand and qualify project requirements.
 * Review project scopes and suggest improvements or adjustments as necessary.
 * Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project success.
 * Address and resolve on-site technical issues, escalating unresolved challenges promptly.
 * Prepare and submit accurate project documentation in a timely manner.
 * Train and mentor junior engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices.
 * Conduct tool and equipment checks before deployment to ensure readiness.
 * Provide regular status updates to project managers and coordinators.
 * Ensure compliance with technical, quality, and Health & Safety standards.
 * Manage data security and software licensing for customer-owned equipment.
