## About the Role

* Strong hands-on experience designing, building and operating production systems on Microsoft Azure,
 * Experience leading technical design and architecture decisions while remaining close to implementation,
 * Strong experience with REST APIs, OpenAPI and API lifecycle management,
 * Experience with asynchronous messaging and message brokers such as Apache Kafka or Azure Service Bus,
 * Experience with Azure infrastructure as code using Bicep or Terraform, CI/CD, observability and cloud security,
 * Strong software engineering skills in at least one modern programming language,
 * Clear communication, pragmatic judgement and experience coaching engineers without relying on formal authority
 * Fluency in both English and German is required, Spanish language skills are an advantage.

## Description

* Lead the technical design, delivery and evolution of shared Azure platform and integration capabilities,
 * Set practical standards for REST APIs, OpenAPI contracts, Azure API Management and message-driven integrations using Apache Kafka or Azure Service Bus,
 * Establish reusable patterns for Azure infrastructure as code, CI/CD, application hosting, security, observability and operational readiness,
 * Contribute hands-on to complex implementation work, design reviews, troubleshooting and incident learning,
 * Ensure integrations address contracts, versioning, authentication, retries, dead-letter handling, ordering and idempotency,
 * Coach engineers, enable decisions at the lowest appropriate level and reduce knowledge silos,
 * Work with the Technical Product Manager, IT Operations and Security, Data & Reporting and other teams to resolve dependencies and make technical risks visible.
