KG - **Location:** Leipzig, Germany - **Experience:** Expert - **Contract:** Permanent contract - **Skills:** Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Software Vulnerability Management, Malware - **Published:** September 22, 2026 - **Apply:** https://www.indeed.com/viewjob?jk=fc5f09e3293d87b3 ## About the Role * You're holding a Master's degree in Computer Science/Information Security (or equivalent) and at least 5 years of cybersecurity experience, ideally within global companies. * You are used to build or further develop CDC structures in an international environment (including SIEM and SOAR). * You are able to use and understand scripting languages such as Python. * You are familiar with common frameworks/standards (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, ISO 27001). * Complex tasks and problems are no big challenge for you. * You are a very good communicator, also when it comes to stakeholder management. * Your written and spoken English is fluent, ideally you are also used to the German language. ## Description * In the role of CDC Detection Engineer, you take technical responsibility for the CDC Detection Engineering process and further develop it. * In a global team, you continuously improve detection & response capabilities (workflows and toolchain). * You implement and improve alerting and detection rules. * If necessary, you provide operational support to our analysts (real-time monitoring, analysis and triage of events/alarms, coaching). * You work closely with our global infrastructure operations teams (e.g., Malware Defense, Vulnerability Management). * You create and maintain documentation (e.g., SOPs, standards, architecture diagrams). * In projects, you provide consultancy on the use of existing solutions and the integration of new tools according to security standards & best practices.
