You will lead the technical vision of a mature, stable, enterprise-grade platform while simultaneously scaling a rapidly growing RAG-based AI product that is driving new commercial momentum. In this hands-on leadership role, you will work closely with a senior engineering team, guiding architecture, infrastructure, and product evolution in a fully remote, high-trust organization. You will collaborate directly with executive leadership to align technology strategy with business outcomes, balancing innovation with operational excellence. The environment is lean, autonomous, and outcome-driven, where technical decisions carry real strategic weight. This role is ideal for a player-coach technology leader who thrives at the intersection of architecture, AI systems, and team leadership. Lead critical decisions on scalability, infrastructure design, system reliability, and long-term technical evolution. Own deployment strategies, operational readiness, and infrastructure stability across all engineering initiatives. Guide the evaluation and adoption of modern engineering tools, with a strong focus on AI-assisted development practices. Lead, mentor, and support a team of experienced engineers, fostering autonomy, technical excellence, and continuous improvement. Conduct architectural and code reviews while providing high-quality technical guidance and feedback. Manage enterprise-level technical requirements, including security reviews, compliance standards, and customer SLAs. Lead SOC 2 compliance efforts and support audit and security certification processes. Balance technical debt, feature delivery, and system reliability across competing priorities. Stay actively involved in architecture and system design, maintaining strong technical credibility within the team. Champion AI/ML innovation, especially in RAG systems, LLM applications, and modern development workflows. ## Related Videos - [RAG's Not Dead, You're Just Using It Wrong! - Phil Nash](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1906-rag-s-not-dead-you-re-just-using-it-wrong-phil-nash) - [Why segmenting your infrastructure into tiers makes your infrastructure design better](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/1960-why-segmenting-your-infrastructure-into-tiers-makes-your-infrastructure-design-better) - [Kotlin Multiplatform - True power of native code reuse](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/4-kotlin-multiplatform-true-power-of-native-code-reuse) - [MySQL Protocol Features You Should Be Aware Of](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100267-mysql-protocol-features-you-should-be-aware-of) - [The AI-Native Engineering Org: What’s Real, What’s Hype, What’s Next](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/100004-the-ai-native-engineering-org-what-s-real-what-s-hype-what-s-next) - [Unleashing Potential Across Teams: The Power of Infrastructure as Code](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/videos/930-unleashing-potential-across-teams-the-power-of-infrastructure-as-code) ## Related Articles - [Navigating the AI Shift](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/629-navigating-the-ai-shift) - [Best US AI Conferences for CTOs in 2026: Build vs. Buy, Vendor Evaluation, and Peer Intelligence](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/736-best-us-ai-conferences-for-ctos-in-2026-build-vs-buy-vendor-evaluation-and-peer-intelligence) - [What is Agentic Programming and Why Should Developers Care?](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/625-what-is-agentic-programming-and-why-should-developers-care) - [Dev Digest 137 - AI'm not sure about this](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/485-dev-digest-137-ai-m-not-sure-about-this) - [Dev Digest 120 - Apple and peers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/455-dev-digest-120-apple-and-peers) - [Highest Paying Tech Companies for Developers](https://www.wearedevelopers.com/magazine/220-highest-paying-tech-companies-for-developers)
