## About the Role

You will have proven Configuration Management experience within a complex engineering environment, ideally defence, aerospace or a similarly regulated sector.

You should have strong knowledge of configuration and change-control principles, excellent stakeholder management skills and experience working across multidisciplinary teams.

Knowledge of DEFSTAN 05-57, DEFSTAN 05-61 and ISO 10007 is particularly relevant.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of Configuration Management within a high-profile, long-term defence programme, working closely with engineering and programme leadership.

## Description

We are recruiting an experienced Configuration Manager to support a major, long-term UK defence programme.

This is an engineering-focused Configuration Management role, responsible for maintaining control and traceability across technical deliverables, documentation, systems and programme changes.

Put simply, you will be the custodian of the programme baseline - ensuring there is a clear approved configuration, changes follow the correct governance process, and the programme can demonstrate what changed, why it changed and when it was approved. This reflects the role's responsibility for maintaining configuration integrity throughout the project lifecycle., * Own and maintain the Configuration Management Plan.

 * Manage configuration baselines, items and technical documentation.
 * Manage formal change control and support Change Control Boards.
 * Ensure changes are correctly assessed, approved, recorded and traceable.
 * Work with Quality Assurance to control the release of project deliverables.
 * Conduct configuration audits and provide status reporting.
 * Work closely with Engineering, IT, DevOps, Quality and programme stakeholders.
