Because our platform doesn't stop at the device, you'll also need the skills to work with the cloud and back-end services those applications talk to - so this role suits someone equally comfortable in Kotlin and in the wider full-stack/cloud environment around it., * Developing and maintaining Android applications with Kotlin * Ensuring high performance and responsiveness across different devices * Integrating mobile applications with RESTful APIs and backend services * Optimising applications for performance, usability, and accessibility * Ensuring app security and compliance with best practices * Collaborating with front-end and backend developers to ensure seamless mobile and web integration, * Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance APIs * Write clean, functional, and well-documented code * Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise existing systems * Explore AWS services to enhance system performance and scalability * Collaborate with other developers, designers, and product managers * Ensure code quality through testing, peer reviews, and best practices * Continuously improve our software and development processes Location & Working Pattern * Full-time - minimum of 37.5 hours per week * Based at our office in Portsmouth, Hampshire * Hybrid working: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home * Some office days will run 11am-7pm (with a 30-minute lunch break), to cover our later support hours * Some weekend working will be required - we offer support to our clients until 7pm, Given the nature of our business, experience of security in development and systems would be highly beneficial.
