The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in software engineering and practical experience with a range of modern technologies. The role may involve working across Databricks, Apache Spark, Python, AWS, Microsoft Azure, databases, backend services, APIs, and frontend technologies, depending on the project and business requirements., * Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications and data platforms. * Develop data engineering solutions using technologies such as Python, Apache Spark, and Databricks. * Build and maintain data pipelines for batch and real-time data processing. * Design and implement cloud-based solutions using AWS and/or Microsoft Azure. * Develop backend services, REST APIs, microservices, and integration components. * Develop and maintain frontend applications and user interfaces where required. * Work with databases, data warehouses, and data storage technologies. * Implement data transformation, processing, validation, and quality frameworks. * Develop scalable and highly available cloud-based applications. * Work with CI/CD pipelines, source control, automation, and Infrastructure as Code. * Troubleshoot application, data, infrastructure, and deployment issues. * Collaborate with engineering, data, product, and other technical teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. * Follow software engineering best practices including testing, code reviews, documentation, security, and performance optimisation.
