## About the Role

* Must be able to work at Washington Navy Yard, full-time, five days per week.
 * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant Engineering degrees.
 * Active SECRET clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain this clearance.
 * 3+ years professional engineering experience on DoD/defense programs.
 * Self-motivated with strong work ethic, time management, and interpersonal skills.

Desired Qualifications:

 * Active TOP SECRET clearance, and ability to maintain this clearance.
 * Experience working with Strategic Systems Programs.
 * US Navy Submarine Officer experience or other U.S. military Engineering Officer experience.
 * Experience working with DoD engineering and acquisition processes.
 * Experience with US Government acquisition, US government budgeting and project planning.

## Description

The Systems Engineer will support the Nuclear Delivery System Program (NDS). They will provide technical and programmatic systems engineering support to the NDS program. In addition, they will support headquarters-level planning, development and execution for a variety of activities including systems integration, system accuracy, system reliability, support equipment design, and systems safety. Travel 3-5 times/year may be required.
