Proven expertise in building and maintaining video players and live streaming components for both web and Connected TV platforms is essential. Hands-on experience with streaming frameworks such as Bitmovin, JW Player, HLS.js, or Shaka is required, including skills in tuning playback performance and troubleshooting live streaming challenges. Candidates should have a solid understanding of video streaming protocols, live playback concepts like latency, live edge, and drift, as well as ABR (Adaptive Bitrate) algorithms and DRM (Digital Rights Management) integration. The ability to work independently in a fast-paced, distributed team setting is also critical. ## Description We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Web & Video Player Engineer to join our remote team. This role is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in JavaScript and web video playback technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance video streaming experiences across web and Connected TV platforms such as Chromecast, Xbox, Samsung Tizen, LG, Vizio, and cable boxes. You will play a critical role in owning the entire playback pipeline, troubleshooting complex streaming issues, and enhancing user experience through performance optimization.
