EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Minimum 5 to 7 years' experience within compliance, fraud prevention, operational risk, AML, lending operations, or financial servicesPrevious experience operating as an MLRO or supporting MLRO responsibilities preferredExperience within B2B lending, broker-led finance, alternative lending, fintech, or financial services preferredStrong understanding of operational controls, governance, AML, KYC, fraud prevention, and financial crime processesStrong understanding of broker and introducer-led operating environments preferredStrong organisational and documentation skills

## Description

THE COMPANY:Our client is a rapidly growing lending business, seeking a hands-on professional to oversee and strengthen the company's operational compliance, financial crime, fraud prevention, and governance framework.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintain and develop the company's operational compliance frameworkAct as MLRO for the business where requiredOversee AML, KYC, sanctions, and financial crime controlsMonitor and strengthen fraud prevention processes across the lending journeyConduct operational compliance reviews across onboarding, underwriting, collections, broker management, and customer servicingReview broker and introducer activity to ensure company standards and processes are being followedSupport complaint handling, investigations, and escalated customer mattersInvestigate suspicious activity, fraud concerns, documentation irregularities, and operational control failuresMaintain compliance registers, governance records, and audit documentationSupport the development and maintenance of operational policies, procedures, and internal controlsWork closely with operational teams to identify risks, process weaknesses, and improvement opportunitiesWork alongside the technology team to improve fraud
monitoring, operational controls, governance processes, and reporting visibilitySupport internal audits, lender due diligence exercises, and investor governance requestsEnsure customer onboarding documentation and lending records remain accurate and appropriately maintainedDeliver compliance, fraud prevention, and operational governance guidance across the businessMonitor operational incidents, breaches, and remediation actionsSupport GDPR and data governance processes alongside the technology functionMaintain awareness of relevant regulatory, financial crime, and industry developments applicable to the businessHelp strengthen operational accountability, documentation quality, and governance standards as the business scales
