## About the Role

Do you have experience in Python?, * 13 - 15+ years' experience in a hardware product design role, in the Space or an equivalent High Reliability/Safety sector

 * Experience of line management or leading large multi-functional teams would be an asset
 * Expertise of high speed digital design and Serdes interconnects
 * Experience of design and manufacture of complex circuits and multi-layer (10+) HDI PCBs
 * Knowledge of LEO/GEO communications payloads
 * Experience of circuit and PCB design and simulation tools
 * Specialist knowledge in any of the following areas would be advantageous:
 + High reliability design and analysis (Space, Military, Automotive, etc.)
 + RF design and validation
 + Electronic circuitry radiation effects and mitigation techniques
 + DC/DC power supply design
 + Knowledge of environmental, thermal, safety and EMI/EMC standards
 + Practical use of scripting languages Tcl/Python/Perl etc.

## Description

* Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team of engineers developing FPGA/ ASIC based satellite telecommunication payloads for a variety of orbits
 * Management of complex Hardware development and manufacturing activities
 * Responsible throughout the Hardware product development lifecycle for the specification, design and testing
 * Detailed circuit design including schematic capture, component selection and electronic simulation
 * Engineering analysis and documentation (Derating, Worst Case, Reliability, Radiation, EMI/EMC Analysis, FMECA, Power Budget)
 * Supporting Hardware/Software/System integration, test, validation and qualification
 * Directing in-house and 3rd party PCB layout design teams
 * Deliver prototype and product quality manufacturing packages
 * Playing an active role in the leadership of the team
