Prior military or defense industry experience. ## Description We are seeking a Software Engineer to support the development of advanced radar capabilities within a complex, real-time combat systems environment. This role focuses on the design, development, integration, optimization, and testing of mission-critical radar software operating across distributed, multi-processor computing architectures. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience developing modern C++ applications in Linux environments and possesses a strong foundation in software engineering principles, object-oriented design, real-time systems, and performance optimization. Candidates with experience supporting radar systems, sensor processing, signal processing, missile defense, tracking systems, or other defense-related applications are highly preferred. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to advanced radar capabilities supporting national defense missions., Design, develop, and maintain real-time radar software utilizing modern C++. Develop software solutions for distributed and multi-processor computing environments. Implement and optimize algorithms supporting radar control, tracking, sensor processing, and data management functions. Analyze software performance and implement improvements to throughput, latency, and computational efficiency. Support GPU acceleration efforts using CUDA or similar parallel computing technologies where applicable. Develop automated unit, integration, and regression tests to ensure software quality and reliability. Troubleshoot software defects and support root cause analysis activities across integrated systems. Collaborate with systems engineers, integration teams, test engineers, and program leadership throughout the software lifecycle. Create and maintain technical documentation including software designs, interface definitions, test procedures, and engineering reports. Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, peer reviews, and technical demonstrations.
