Preferred/Additional Qualifications: * 2+ years of experience designing, building, operating, or maintaining distributed systems or cloud services. * Experience developing and maintaining platform or infrastructure components for large-scale online services. * Experience with public cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. * Experience with containers and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes. * Experience improving service reliability, performance, scalability, diagnosability, and operational efficiency. * Experience troubleshooting complex production issues using logs, metrics, traces, telemetry, and debugging tools. * Experience with modern software engineering practices, including design and code reviews, automated testing, source control, build and release processes, and secure development. * Communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering teams. Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year. ## Description We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer - CoreAI to join the Azure Functions Platform team. In this role, you will design, build, operate, and maintain core platform components and distributed systems that support the reliable execution of customer workloads across Azure. You will work on systems where reliability, performance, scalability, security, and diagnosability are fundamental design requirements.
